Hunt with friends
Up to 6 hunters. Bots fill any empty seats and hand them over when a friend joins.
A Toad Bros Games co-op hunt
Grab your rifle, load up the truck and head to Elk Ridge with up to five friends. Hunt by map and compass, camp under the stars and bring home a trophy. Every trip also brings one strange event, and the valley doesn't always let you leave in one piece.
Every year the same group of friends drives out to Elk Ridge for the hunt. They check in at Earl & Dottie's country store, buy their tags, pile into the truck and head up the mountain. Every year, something goes wrong.
Hunting Trip is a co-op hunting game for up to 6 players, done in a modern-retro late-90s style. It's a real hunt: you read tracks, play the wind, pick the right calibre and haul your kill back to camp before dark. It's also a trip with your buddies, so there's poker by the fire, someone loses their walkie in the river, and nobody's sure who's driving home. And every trip, something out there isn't a deer.
Field notes
Up to 6 hunters. Bots fill any empty seats and hand them over when a friend joins.
A paper map and a compass with no numbers. Getting lost is part of it.
Lakes, marsh, high country, a river called Widow's Run, and plenty of odd landmarks nobody bothered to sign.
Deer, elk, moose, bear, boar, wolves, cougars and more. They hear the twig snap, smell you on the wind, and some of them charge.
Spot a black wolf or a piebald boar. An animal that survives a bad shot can come back scarred and meaner, and the old-timers will tell you about it.
A UFO, a hag in the woods, a leprechaun with a knife, a unicorn you really shouldn't have shot. Plus smaller surprises, some caused by you.
A bad mauling can cost you an eye, a hand or a leg for the rest of the trip. Your arm might turn up on the Lost and Found board.
Sleep in a tent or out in the field. Play Texas hold'em on a barrel by the fire. Skinny dip in the lake to wash the stink off.
Fish for trout and pike, hunt ducks and geese with a stamp and a daily limit, and watch for vultures circling something dead.
You pay for every gun, tree stand, blind, trail camera and walkie. Die out there and you'll have to go find your body.
Walkies crackle in storms, work better from high ground, and key up at the worst moment. Animals can hear you talk, too.
Cash in Earl's jar for the biggest buck, a tontine where only survivors get paid, and the Local Record wall. Poach and the warden finds out.
The campfire forecast
Every trip rolls one major event plus smaller surprises. Here's what the valley might have in store.

AlsoSomebody dropped their walkie in the river.
Elk Ridge
Sweep your flashlight over the map to burn through the fog. It rolls back in. The truck at Earl & Dottie's is always easy to find. Camp moves every time you load this page.

Hunting Trip is made by a tiny indie team at Toad Bros Games. In Early Access we'll add more events, more creatures and more things to find on the map, based on what players tell us they want.
